Update: “I can confirm that we are notifying people who use Facebook Messenger for Windows that it will no longer be available as of March 3,” a Facebook spokesperson told TNW. Others said messenger has been dropping their calls and messages. In a prior instance, several users reported the app crashing while trying to open it. According to Downdetector, 67 percent of users were having troubles with the app and 25 percent were having trouble with sending messages. We will update this post if we hear back. The only section relevant to Facebook Messenger for Windows is for uninstalling it. The “Learn more” link unfortunately takes the user to a generic Messages page on Facebook’s Help Center.
